Course Description: In this workshop students will reframe the way they think about conflict. Most people hold beliefs and assumptions about the nature of conflict and how it will be resolved. You will learn to build a mental map that will serve as your guide for making moment-to- moment choices about how to better handle conflict situations and how to manage conflict between two of your team members. All Family and MWR employees are encouraged to take this course.

There are five (5) sessions for this course. Supervisor approval required.

Course Details:

  • Prerequisites: Family and MWR Orientation Course (Online), Family and MWR Basic Management Course(Online), Operation Excellence – Online or Classroom Customer Service Training.
  • Pre-work: Conflict Dynamics Profile Individual (CDP-I) Assessment (online) - access will be provided upon selection into the course; .5 hours.
    Post-session homework: Each session will have approximately 30 minutes of homework; total 2.5 hours.
    Estimated total hours to complete workshop: 18 hours
  • Duration: 5 live online sessions will be conducted over a three (3) week period. Each session is two (2) hours in length. We will use the A365 Teams platform to deliver virtually plus teleconference for audio.
